Why Can’t We Have Our Own Soundtrack?

I’m envious of

the movie characters

who have an automatic soundtrack

to their lives;

they know what they are

supposed to feel by the

tide-rise swelling of notes,

they feel the

important

moments

in the middle of living them

while an orchestra plays its sea shore chords,

and they pause and reflect

in times to remember

when the petal notes of a

piano

unfold

across

the keys.
